COVID-19 – FEW TIPS WHICH CAN HELP US SAIL THROUGH THIS DIFFICULT TIME

COVID-19 is the infectious disease caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus. This new virus and disease were unknown before the outbreak began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. This is the first time we are facing the situation of a lockdown on such a large scale due to an illness. Staying at home for a long time can be challenging in today’s fast paced world and we are not at all used to this. Here are a few tips which can help us sail through this difficult time:

  • Maintain your sleep and daily schedule. Avoid over eating, over sleeping and try to stay away from alcohol.
  • Eat healthy food which helps boost your immune system.
  • Get some exercise daily and do activities that help you relax like cleaning your wardrobe or cleaning the house.
  • If you have a child, establish shifts for childcare with your spouse. Involve the kids in daily household activities and give them small responsibilities. Spend time with your kids, play with them, read books with them. Make sure they do not stay glued to screens.
  • Focus on the positive things in life. Do not let negative thoughts drain your mind. Watch authentic programs/news and avoid fake channels and social media posts.
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water. Do not depend on sanitizers for your hygiene.
  • If you are working from home, do it properly.
